Ink fit for a Goddess

I love tattoos. I find them, when well executed, to be a most interesting means of expressing
one's personal desires, interests etc. I feel the urge to add new ink to my collection, one idea I have is a josephine baker tattoo: What is not to love about her? This deco diva was a friend of animals, captivated a nation just by being a gorgeous Black goddess, had excellent fashion sense, and was not afraid of her sexuality. Josephine Baker is one of my Sheroes,(the other being Zora Neale Hurston) and also one of my fashion icons. Topless and dressed in a banana skirt she reminds me of a real life incarnation of Oshun (Oshun is the tall brown skinned Yoruban Orisha that presides over dance,love,beauty and art, she enjoys finery such as gold,mirrors,jewelry,feathered fans and honey. Peacocks are sacred to her ) the above image is Black Thunder, a lithograph of Josephine Baker done by Paul Colin. From the moment I saw this picture I fell in love with it. It conveys a sense of rhythm,freedom and unabashed sexuality. I will put her on my leg because I too love to dance.

Barbie Shoes

MMmm I love my barbie shoes......
I made my dutchboy (more on him in future posts) buy them for me.
My Barbie shoes are a most perfect hot pink

The Last Taboo

Why are perfectly grown men(and some women) afraid of menstruation?
In western society it is whispered about, made fun of
but never just discussed in earnest. This culture is reared on the perpetuation
of the menstrual taboo. Now there are pills that seek to stop the monthly cycle
altogether and women ignorant of the long term health repercussions flock
in droves to their obgyn " oh please remove this red menace from my life"
Let me just state for the record that I have killed that part of my psyche
that wishes to hide and be shameful of my natural cyclical process. I read a theory that
postulates that the reason men ignite wars is to make up for the blood that they do
not naturally shed and are therefore compensating by spilling the blood of the wounded.
I do not believe in honoring and fostering men's menstrual taboo.
I need to be worshiped 365 days of the year *especially* when I am bleeding.
when I bleed I feel more in touch with the Goddess, the moon and the ocean's tides.
There is no shame in my cycle and if you plan on being a sub or slave of mine
your shame will not be honored,catered to or accepted.
